We answer frequently asked questions from our customers.
Please select what you are looking for from the following options.

  • We do not offer room-only stays. We accept reservations for either a one-night stay with breakfast or a one-night stay with two meals.
  • Prices vary depending on the date and dinner menu, but start from 17,380 yen (tax included).
  • This plan is available exclusively online, so we generally cannot accept reservations by phone.
  • Cakes, flower bouquets, and other items can be prepared by advance reservation. (Additional charges apply) For details, please contact the Taikanso Reservation Center at +81-22-354-5214.
  • We have a paved parking lot with space for approximately 200 cars. If this lot is full, we will direct you to the second or third parking lot (unpaved). Please note that all of these are open-air parking lots. Also, please be aware that there is no indoor parking available for motorcycles.
  • As a general rule, elementary school children make up 70% of the adult population, and children aged 3 to preschool age make up 50%. For 2-year-olds, the admission fee (no meals, sharing a bed) is 2,200 yen (tax included). 0- and 1-year-olds are free (bedding and meals are not provided).
  • We apologize for the inconvenience, but you will need to manually select the required number of rooms for each room you wish to book.
  • A viewing is possible if you make a reservation in advance. Please contact our reservation center at +81-22-354-5214 beforehand, as we may not be able to accommodate you if you come without an appointment.

  • All rooms are equipped with a bathroom. Depending on the room type, some rooms have a separate bathroom and toilet, while others have a unit bath type.
  • We do not have any fully barrier-free rooms. Depending on the room's design, many rooms have steps in the bathroom/toilet or at the entrance to the room.
  • We are very sorry, but we do not have any rooms where you can stay with your pet.
  • As of January 27, 2025, the entire building is non-smoking, and there are no smoking rooms available. Please be aware of this in advance.
  • You can use the entire building.
  • We sincerely apologize, but we do not have any drinks in the refrigerator. Drinks (for a fee) are available for purchase at the shop or vending machines.
  • The Shofukaku(Japanese-style room) is the room type closest to the large public bath.
  • We are unable to accommodate requests for specific floors or room numbers. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, we cannot guarantee it. Thank you for your understanding.
  • Depending on the situation on the day, it may be possible to change your reservation if there is availability in a room. In that case, an additional charge may apply.

  • Reservations are not required, so we can seat you if there are seats available when you arrive. However, on some days we may be fully booked for private events or with reservations. We recommend making a reservation in advance.
  • Our Japanese, Western, and Chinese buffet offers a wide variety of dishes, blending Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine. Our Japanese-style seafood buffet features fresh seafood caught that day, making it highly recommended for seafood lovers.
  • We will do our best to accommodate your request. Please contact the Taikanso Reservation Center at +81-22-354-5214.
  • Additional dishes can only be ordered if you have ordered Japanese food (reservations required). Additional dishes are not available in the buffet area.
  • We offer Japanese, Western, and Chinese buffets, seafood buffets, and banquet hall dining options for an additional charge. Prices vary by venue, so please inquire for details.

  • We do hold memorial fireworks at Matsushima Beach, but this year's date is yet to be determined.
  • That's fine. Check-in is from 2:00 PM. If you arrive early and want to park your car in the hotel parking lot before going sightseeing, the hotel's shuttle bus is convenient.

  • Around Sendai Port, you'll find attractions such as the Kirin Beer Sendai Factory, Mitsui Outlet Park, and Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium. There's something for everyone to enjoy, from children to adults.
  • I'm sorry, but we only have items from within the prefecture.

  • We do not provide transportation to or from Sendai Station. Please come to Matsushima-Kaigan Station on the JR Senseki Line or Matsushima Station on the JR Tohoku Main Line, where a hotel-only shuttle bus is available for your use.

  • Reservations are not required for groups of around 5 people or less. For larger groups, reservations are required as seating is limited.
  • You will need to transfer to a local train line (Senseki Line: Matsushima-Kaigan Station or Tohoku Main Line: Matsushima Station) from JR Sendai Station. Free shuttle buses operate on a regular schedule from both Matsushima-Kaigan Station and Matsushima Station. Click here for the timetable.
